Medium iight brown SASSAFRAS graces the top of this hourglass dulcimer. The rest of the instrument is black walnut. The soundhole is a nicely patterned wheat design.
The sound is very melodic, delightfully pleasing and balanced. It also has just enough sustain and overtones to make it a great sounding instrument.
